Newbie Hello
Hi,

I am restoring a 4DR 1961 Impala and I am enjoying the heck out of it. As you know it is lot of painstaking work and new learning. But I have been a gearhead since I can remember so this is right up my ally. I didn't realize however, how difficult it would be finding parts for a 1961 Impala. What happened to all those cars. Did they get junked?

Hi.

Thanks for your reply. I am planning on restoring it to stock so I can drive it. I am not sure how far I will go with restoring to original or show condition.

Is it a hardtop or a sedan? You really shouldn't have that much trouble finding parts for that car. It's fairly common and has a lot of interchangeable parts from other years. I know you have a lot of big swap meets in the usa although i've never been to any south of the border but here in canada that's where i find most of my parts is at swap meets and if not right at the meet then i at least find a lot of good leads. Wha type of parts are you looking for?
