Newbie in West KY
Bought my first Chevy engine, a 283. Wanted a "classic" engine solely to put on a run stand. A retirement toy. Came from a running/driving 67 Impala. The previous owner pulled it to put in a BBC.
I'm pleased that it has remained mostly original. Ram horn exhaust headers, factory air filter housing, heat shields above the spark plugs, factory plug wire looms, Rochester 2 Jet, PCV valve, solid valve covers. Spark plug wires don't look OEM style.
Immediate needs are an alternator with brackets and radiator. Should be able to find these locally, I think.
