Default Over heating

I have a 2002 Cavalier 2.2L Overheating, 226000 mi. Found the radiator leaking. Replaced radiator and t stat. Replaced leaking water pump 6 mo ago.
Bled the system still overheats. The bottom of the radiator stay cool and the top is just warm. The system blows nice heat until it starts to over heat. I do not get much coolant coming through the bleeder yet I seem to keep adding a little coolant. I don't seem to get much bubbling into the overflow tank and there is no coolant smell in the exhaust. Any suggestions
