Question Purchasing car

I am attempting to purchase my first vehicle. A private owner is selling a 2003 one owner chevy cavalier with 100,000 mile for $2000. Is this a good buy? How can i get a cheap vehicle history report?

the ecotec engine is a strong reliable engine. it is a great economy car, parts are cheap. I have an 05 and it hasn't let me down. i commonly see these cars come in for oil changes with 300 000km + .

clubcav.com is a great cavalier forum for cav specifc information.

Anytime you buy a 10 year old car expect to put 1000 into it for the dot inspection certificate.
