Default S-10 4x4

Hello...new one here with an explanation and a question refering to such explanation:

Where I work we currently use four S-10 p/u to do our route work; this would be okay if our routes were on paved roads and in the city, but our routes are in the woods on dirt paths and down clay roads and lots of bumps. The trucks are driven between 4-5 days toatl out of the entire 7 day week;so to say these trucks are moving 259 days a year. The trucks have normal suspension, and are stock just as they rolled off the line....a few bumps and bruises here and there but otherwise there has been no modification to these trucks at all.

My questions lie here: Are these trucks purposely made to withstand such a heavy beating day in and day out....and not need any type of mechanical work done to them? i.e. springs, shocks, rubber bushings , motor mounts ...etc...
The reason for asking such question is because there are certain people here who believe these trucks are meant to withstand all of this and never need to have things repaired; putting the blame on the field workers for something having to be replaced after only 6 years of use!

HELP HELP PLEASE
