Should these be under warranty? Chevy Trax

I have a 2017 Chevy Trax with 48k miles. I was told that It needs, PVC valve replaced(which on this car is the whole valve cover, because it’s part of that), the timing cover gasket (it’s leaking oil).
I'm also getting two tires and so the total will be $1400. My nephew already approved the work, because the guy he talked to said that those things aren't under warranty. I think at the very least the gasket would be. Does anyone here know if they should be? If they are, is it possible to convince the dealership to agree and not get charged? I'm afraid since we agreed that it might be too late to argue they should be.

so you are out of bumper to bumper coverage and all that is left is powertrain. most likely are not covered. the service writers phone in to a gm system with a repair code to confirm what and what isn't covered. you can phone another dealership and confirm.
