Default straight 6 chevy info

hi my name is Will i just bought a 1978 chevy 4x4 it has a 292 straight 6 in it i was just wondering if anyone has any info on how i could install a turbo on it. if possible does anyone know what kind of turbo would work best. this truck is just going to be used to haul my 4x4 toy. so basically i want to make sure ill have the power when i need it. any info would be appreciated thanks.

you're way better off to get a 350 v8. not sure there is a turbo kit available for the 6 cyl. if there is, guaranteed it'll cost way more than a v8 swap.

i just like the 6 cylinder cause of the torque for towing a trailer with a full size truck on it thanks anyways

well thats no fun lol..turbos are awesome. make sure u dont put too much boost into the motor..because you will blow the rings outta it

yeah you can make them roar !i would do a bunch of reading and talk to people in the 4x4 community and get the opinions on what you should do as far as carburation , intake and exhaust offenhauser and Clifford research make some good stuff .i have a offenhauser intake with a Holley 4360 on a 1960 gmc 4x4 .

does anyone know for sure if a turbo off of an eagle talon or mitsubishi would work as long as i turn the boost down? i read somewhere on the internet that it might any ifno welcome
