Will the transmission in 1984 454 gas Chevy citation Motor home fit. Is it as simple as counting the bolts on the pan

will it bolt up? pretty sure but you should have a th400 (not overdrive) in the 84 while the 01 should have a 4l80e (computer controlled with overdrive). its going to require new cross member and a new driveshaft not to mention your speedo wont work or you have to modify the ecm in one way or another to get rid of the rev limiter as it will think the park. youre better off rebuilding the 4l80e both financially and difficulty
