Default First Holden VF Commodore ad plays up ties to Chevy SS

The Holden VF Commodore is getting ready to go on sale in Australia, and the first commercials for the new full-size sedan range have just hit the Internet. Why is this newsworthy to us, you ask? Well, in both spots, our version of the car - the soon-to-arrive 2014 Chevrolet SS - is prominently featured, giving us our first look at the new flagship Chevy in motion.

In the first video, Holden shows some of the car's more detailed features, including the available head-up display and a brief demo of the Automatic Parking Assist. The second video is more like 90 seconds of the automaker shouting "Yay, Australia!" - a well-timed bit of flag-waving when rival Ford has just announced that it is giving up on manufacturing vehicles Down Under after nearly a century of carmaking.
