hey. i have drum brakes all the way around on my nova. whats the best and cheapest way to switch to disc brakes for the fronts??

 

Find a large junkyard which has a '73 Nova with front disc brakes.

If you're lucky, maybe you can find a junkyard with an interchange manual which will tell you what other year vehicles will fit '73 Nova disc brakes.

Is the vehicle a restoration,show car, or a racer? Because this seems like a lot of trouble and expense. You're talkin' replace everything from the steering knuckle forward. Rotors have to be trued and ground, if you're lucky, the calipers can be rebuilt, If the bearings are respectable they'll have to be cleaned and regreased, if not, replaced. In the case of a 35 year-old beater, you'd definitely be looking at more expense than the value the extra stopping power's going to give you.

 

Be aware of aftermarket kits if you run 14"wheels.most are for 15, or larger.68-74camaro's , chevelle, basically the same front end.just make sure to get it all.
