Default '76 Nova

I have a 1976 four door Nova that I can't afford to keep around anymore. I've never sold a car before, much less an older one, so I need a little guidance.

All I know about the engine is that it's a 305. It drives fine, we've had to do a lot of work on it but none the less it's perfectly drivable. The interior isn't in great shape, the body has one 4-4.5 inch dent in the door where someone kicked it and it's the original paint, so extremely faded and worn. It's sitting right around 101k miles which I know, it's probably just about dead.

Any help would be appreciated, if any details are needed to make a better estimate just let me know I'll try to be as accurate as possible. I'm not expecting 50 grand or anything like that for the car I just want to make sure I don't screw myself or someone else out of money - or if it would be better to just take it to a junk yard.

What are you wanting to get for it? My guess without seeing it, I'd ask $995.

I'm wanting to get whatever would be fair and realistic. I completely forgot I needed to take pictures of it but here are a few I took just now.

I'd start at $995, I'd not expect to really get that. If it where a two door hardtop, be a keeper. You are (apparently) in California. I assume it is free from emissions? That'd be its best selling point. A 305 with 100+K. You can google prices for that model to get a "feel" for what they have been sold for.

Unfortunately I was one year off of being free from emissions, however thus far it has passed every time. I really wish it was a two door, though if it was I'd probably never give it up, hah. I'm going to look around a bit more like you suggested on google. Thanks a lot for the help I appreciate the quick responses.
