Default steering column removing

How do you unplug the steering column harness from the car one. This is the connector that attaches to the column on my 1963 Nova. Have removed it from the column but can not get it apart. There is a metal clip that holds the connector to the column, that might be the key. Does any one Know. Going to reuse the column so no cutting of wires. I am putting in a Borgeson ps box and Co. says you can only use the org. column after some modification.

I don't know that is disconnects from both ends. Unhook it from the ts switch , and I believe you pull it out away from the wheel.

This is a connector that has about a dozen wires on it. It has to come apart so you can remove the column.

The connector is at the top of the column, plugs into the TS switch, I believe you need to pull the harness out of the column to remove it. I don't think it has a connector at the floor board, just wired to the fuse box.

Default steering column remove

Thanks for evryone's help. I got the connector appart by using a small flat head screwdriver to pry it apart. There seams tobe some confusion where this connector is. It is used to connector the turnsignals, lamp for the automatic shift indicator, and horn, to the car wiring. It is clipped to the left side of the steering column mast. There are 8 wires on eachside. On the column side the wires are about 12" long and go into a hole in the column. There ia a switch for backup lights, and automatic transmission start lockout lower down the mast. Hope this helps anyone else that needs to remove the steering column in a 62-66 nova.
