I installed aftermarket radio in my 05 impala. Everything works but the sound quality is garbage. Like the factory amp no longer works. I have the harness with all the chime and everything to keep working. Again sounds like the factory amp is not on. Also how do I know if it's digital or analog amplifier. Please help as I put a lot of time into the install.

 

did you get the correct wiring harness kit? is there not separate wiring harnesses for std and upgraded models?

Actually I did get correct harness. Turned out the harness has two separate setting of rear speaker wires. One set for digital amp and a set for analog amp. My car has analog amp apparently. So I rewired it and now I have great sound. On a side note I had to cut the resistors out of harness wires to make the sound quality better.
