1949 Chevy PU
Hi! 49" Chevy PU all original, six volt system. Been sitting in garage a number of years. I tried to start it. It would turn over, but that's it. Checked plugs, points, all seems OK. Battery was low, so I'm recharging it. I also added a gallon of fresh gas, and a can of Seafoam. Could I try to jump start it with a 12v system to get it started? Thanks for any advice. Don

use 6 volt charger with 6 vt boost if it has been awhile since it was running ,the cylinder's could be dry .you might have to pull the plugs and squirt some marvel mystery oil in the cylinder's and turn the motor over reinstall the plugs and try to start it

Tried that many years ago, and, regretted it !!!
Find another good 6V Battery, or HD Charger for 6V.
If you can't find any 6V stuff, then try a push start.
If you've got any cranking ability at all, you need to pull the Fuel Line off at the Carb, and make sure the Pump is delivering fuel.
Also, if you've got spark, you might try squirting a little fuel into the Carb to get it running.
Once you get it going, your Generator should do some charging...hopefully.
