Hi, I just picked up a 1974 Chevy P20 Stepvan with manual steering. I'm going to convert this van to a food truck for my daughter to start a business with, but I want to put in power steering. Problem is, it appears that Chevrolet didn't offer power steering on these things until 1976. Has anyone attempted to mount up a 1976+ gear to the 1974-1975 frame? I have not had opportunity to compare mounting holes. I'm Sure I would have to find a steering column and it's related driveline to pull this off, but I want to make sure the pitman arm shaft is going to be angled correctly, preferably with factory holes.
