I a 1982 C10 305ci that I can’t quite get running right. It starts and runs great when cold and just off of high idle. When it warms up enough that the secondaries open is when I have the problem. It starts running very rough and black smoke coming out of the exhaust. If I let it sit for an hour or so it’ll start right back up and run great. I’ve tried 4 different quadrajets including one off my nova that I know is in peak performance. I also tried a FAST fuel injection system that also had some running problems. I’ve replaced the intake gaskets and now have a edelbrock performer intake on there with the same problem. I’m out of ideas on what to check next and any help is appreciated!
