Hi need a question answered please. I have a 1990 chevy g20 van 507 v8 van. When i crank up, and put it into reverse, i give it gas, and it goes and then dies on me. This does this also, when i go into drive. When i am full throttle it doesnt happen. This van dies on me also while idling in traffic, and sometimes at red lights i have to wave people around me. this is getting annoying.

Any help would be greatly appreicated . Im thinking its the Idle air control valve, but wanted other opinions on this subject. Thanks,

or could it be carb needs cleaned out or fuel filter replaced?
