I have a 92 chevy c1500 with the 5 speed, I want to change it over to an automatic because the 5 speed does not work anymore. I just want to know all the parts i would need. i know i will have to change the flywheel to a flexplate and I plan on using a floor shifter so i don't have to mess with any linkage. Will the driveshaft be any different if i use a 700r4 from a truck of the same year? will i have problems with the mounting of the transmission and will it require to move the cross member?
