I'm putting a 283 with 12 cc dome pistons .060 overbore, forged crank and rods balanced with 202 64 cc chamber heads, with a after market 1000 cfm mpfi. In a 78 cj5 th350 205 transfer case. The compression calculator says its at 10.35:1 is that to high with cast iron heads, I have a ste of roller motor 202 heads with 76 cc combustion chamber I can use if I have a problem with detonation. I'm running a Mallory unilite with hyfire IVc controller. Just want to get some opinions, I have a 350 with same heads and ignition and pistons that has no problem with detonation but it is in 63 C10 4 speed.
