Default Can’t find a starter that fits

I have a Chevy 230 with a Muncie 4 speed. It all bolts together but I can’t find a starter that bolts to it. The starter I had bolted to the 3 on the tree bell housing but now I have the 4 on the floor bell housing. I can’t use the old bell housing because it doesn’t fit on the transmission. There are mounting holes on the bottom of the block but I can’t find any starters that bolt to all of the holes. The best I got was 1 of 2 holes. Thank you

I am not real familiar with the 230 Chevy six as far as the bell housings. Wouldn't the Muncie fit the locating hole of the original bell housing and all 4 bolt mounting holes line up? Did you give that a try before swapping the bell housing?

I think you said that the starter mounting bolts are on the bottom of the block with 2 mounting holes. Is that correct? If so it sounds like the automatic starters might fit as they have 2 mounting bolts and mount from the bottom.
