This thread has a familiar ring. Picked up a '90 Celebrity Eurosport wagon with the 3.1 with only 94000, not bad for an twenty one year old. When it runs, it's smooth as silk but I too am encountering the sound of silence when letting up on the throttle. Unplugged the TCC solenoid and it ran well for a couple of hours but reverted to the no idle thing. Am shorting the ALDL A/B connectors but no 'check engine' light or codes and am wondering if it's the ECM. Shouldn't I at least be seeing a 12? I've replaced the MAP and IDLEAIR sensorsr but think that may have been an exercise in throwing away money. A small item - as I back up, toeing the brake intermittently, the engine has a power reduction or stumble at each touch of the brake.

 

well i just disconet the TCC from the trans 125C and the engine on fast speed work ok, and then when I stop never dies .....
