Default Help! I have a mystery.

I have a 2012 Chevy Sonic (97,000 miles) that ive been driving (and babying) for about 2.5 years now. Sweet little ride. Burnt orange if anyone cares. Anyway- something weird starting happening. The AC blows hot about half of the time. We had it recently juiced up with Freon (it was a tiny bit low) and just put in a brand new fan. No idea why it is doing this. Of course it will do it in the hottest part of the day The fan works fine- all of the speeds work.. the heat works and when the air works.. its ice cold... any idea what may be causing this?

Ahhh...ok so now we checked that out on youtube. I think you are right. Makes sense. We will purchase an actuator tomorrow and follow the diagram to replace it. Thanks!

when the system starts blowing warm air, rev the engine up to 2500 rpm and hold it there. If the system pumps out cold air again...the a/c compressor is tired.

Thank you
I really think it is probably that actuator...but we will certainly check this out too.
