Default lacetti/optra lowering help

hi ive a 06 optra wagon i lowered with h&r springs to give that sport wagon shooting brake look and its slick lookin indeed. unfortunately i started with 205/40-17 tire-wheels and it would rub front and rear on sharp turn or speed bumps. i downsized to 205/45-16 still good looking and now only rear tire rubs on bumps at higher speeds. rubbing right rear inner part of tire.

im thinking now maybe its the width not height??

anyone experience lowered optra/lacetti and what tire can really not rub or at least only when fully loaded while maintaining ok looks??

thanks all,
d
