Hopefully, I'm posting this in the correct forum.
I have a 98 K2500 5 sp with a 350 vortec. The timing chain cover was spraying something fierce. Cleaned and Replaced it with ordered part from dealer, sealed with ultra grey. If you are looking at the motor from the front of said truck, the top left hand bolt is leaking, now with all that's replaced it's just a 'drip' but how on earth do I stop it completely?!
Could there just be a small gradient that you can't see with the naked eye that is making it not seal properly?

pull the bolt out and blast out the hole with brake clean and the bolt thread's blow out the hole with compressed air if you can then use 3 m weather strip adhesive i the hole and thread's let dry for awhile and you you should be good it sets pretty fast if not to thick.

 

Will it get too hot melt the adhesive?

 

no i used it for timing chain cover gaskets and valve cover gaskets to help to hold them in position on the covers all the time while positioning them for the final install .some of the sealant's are slippery !
