Default New member with a new truck!

Hey guys I am new to this forum as I bought my first Silverado today. Always been a ford guy but now I guess I'm happy to be both. Anyways I bought this truck thinking it was a good deal (and hopefully was) but I thought I'd see what a few of you guys think. Everything works minus spedo. Has 143K and leaks a tiny bit of tranny oil but I will fix that soon. Payed $1500. Let me know what you guys think!

I think you got a great deal for $1500. It must have a lot more miles than 143,000 with the speedo not working and the age of the truck.Still if it runs good it is a great deal.

I have an 01 suburban with 230K on it and still running strong, and it has the 5.3 Liter that may be in your truck as well. Lucus makes some fine products that may help you with the trans leak. I also just posted a couple of remedies for two problems that plague many a Silverado and Suburban owners. Check em out, they could help you see 243K.
