stay with the stock cran k unless it is ruined,have the jurnals checked FOR SIZE AND GET THE approite bering's .have the bore and the piston's checked for size and maybe you can use the same piston's with new ring's. or if you needto bore the block and get new over size piston's .unless you have the correct mic'sand dial bore gauge a shop will have to do these functions .

 

I am able to do it myself. I have all of the tools needed for that type of stuff

 

well that will save you a chunk of change .

 

ok. another question is how much horsepower can I get out of this 350 within a reasonable price range. like I said im looking to spend around 2000 max

 

one can only guess with out a dyno after the build ,but you might relize 325 to 350 horse .

 

ok because ive seen where people are talking about getting 500-650 out of it but that just seems way out of range unless you do a lot of work and spend a ton of money.

 

yeah just like when I was racing how fast you want to go ,how much money you got!

 

I'm not saying that it's impossible to get that kind of HP out of a normally aspirated Engine, but, customarily numbers like that usually require a Supercharger.
