i got offered a 1990 chevy 454 ss has 120,000 miles has headers and other stuff its a nice truck for my 2003 dodge ram 1500 quadcab 4x4 with 233,000 miles do u guys think its a good deal let me know what you guys think thanks

Well, value wise, the 454SS is worth about $4500-$6000 in excellent condition, while yours is worth around $$6500-$8000 (obviously all prices are approximated).

On the other hand, they are two totally different trucks. One is a street sport truck with limited people carrying ability and the other is a truck good for almost anything.

GM put some of the worst interiors in their cars and trucks from the mid 80's to the mid 90's. IMHO, the only thing going for the 454SS is the engine, otherwise, to me it's only a lowered 1990 GM pick-up with an ugly interior. Because of the sport suspension, I doubt it can handle much in the way of payload as well.

This truck is also a 2 seater, so it's limited on on this also.

Yours on the other hand has some style, it looks much nicer than the 454SS, has a 4X4 system, can carry more people and since the 454SS is lowered, the Dodge has a lot better payload than the as well.

Personally, I would pass on the deal as your truck is more of a truck than the GM.
