Hi all,

I currently own a 2002 Astro but am looking to buy a Chevy step van to convert. The specs on the step van (as listed on CL): 1977 310 Chevy 3500 step van. 350 V8, auto trans. with a new rear end, 135k miles.

Does anyone have any thoughts on the year, engine, etc? I looked but I didn't see a dedicated step van forum, does one exist? Thanks for any feedback.

Van nose(front) post with express,77,fine by me,a good quick check on a truck that can carry alot of weight,give the tranny dipstick a look, for fluid color and smell

Good call. I'm making plans to go check it out. Per the owner, the only issue is that it's kinda hard to start and the carburetor needs adjusted/rebuilt.
