"03 2.2liter fuel pressure problems have me stumped. Help?
,all, I'm a newbie here but really like what I see here. Anyhow my problem started with truck not starting at store, was low on fuel and on an incline so put fuel in and ended up pulling it home. couldn't hear pump running in town, so checked voltage from computer through relay and power source to pump. I also checked continuity from pump ground wire to battery cable, voltages and continuity checked ok, so I replaced fuel pump. (it had started once or twice before I changed pump. I drove about 20 miles then tried to go to work the next morning, made it 1 mile then it missed out then died. still turned over no start. got it to start made it home. (also changed fuel filter somewhere in here). I had a evap code that cleared and didn't come back on and a fuel pressure code about this same time. Ended up getting fuel pressure gauge and put directly on fuel pump and got 0 psi on outlet, so replaced new pump. Now truck will start but only runa few seconds and I only get approx. 5-10 psi at the rail. I put a volt meter on the fuel pump jumper terminal and it runs a few sec. when key is first turned on, has voltage while truck runs then goes to zero a few seconds a few seconds after truck dies. pulled #3 plug and it looked like it may be running rich, but oil smells fine. I have also replaced fuel cap. I recently pulled a code for evap pressure low and crank sensor voltage I belive ( they're stored in scanner, not near at the moment). does anyone have any thoughts about where to go next? any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Jeremy Wallace
