Default 1996 S10 Blazer shuts off out of nowhere Plz help!

Hey guys,
How you all doing?
I have a problem with my 1996 4.3 S10 Blazer but with no check engine light present.
It may shut off after an hour of use.
Or may go the whole week or so before shutting off.
Like if it was turn key no sputter, hesitation, jerking no warning what so ever.
All instrument cluster on radio on.
When it does shut off it may start right back up or may take a few hours before restarting or even a couple days.
I'm tired of throwing parts at it.
Any suggestions before I go on the WILD GROUND HUNT lol
Thanks in advance.

Had that issue twice with my 96, check engine light would come on with maf sensor low output, that was it. I had to replace the ECM, fixed it. The ecm was shutting down, and I reasoned why the maf code came up was because of that, engine just shutoff. Those things do age, this is the second one, that was 3 years ago.

How long has it been happening and what parts have you changed?

If the ecm is original, it's got 23 years. It will, if the same issue I had start getting worse, run a week, two days, then perhaps won't make it around the block. Good luck with it.

It could also be an wiring/harness issue. Check the grounds on the engine block and head-ECM's need good grounding. If there is a dirty or loose connector, it can "connect" intermittently and drive you crazy. When it runs, does it seem to run normally?

Check the wiring at the crank sensor, years of oil soaking will rot the wire insulation, if the wires short the engine will shut down. Had the same problem on my 99.
