we have been fighting the factory security system for 4yrs. like most of these older GM's randomly the truck will not start, you have to remove the key and wait 15min. or so. it used to happen about once every 2-3 months, but lately it has been more frequent. Is there a way to bypass or disable this feature.

 

have you ever replaced the passlock key cylinder and key.if not, it maybe that the cylinder assembly is worn out and causing your starting issues.do you have more than the factory keys on your key chain.too many keys on the key ring will wear out a passlock cylinder prematurely.i replaced quite a few over the years due to wear.just a thought.
