I bought a 2000 chevy s10 at an insurance auction last year and it ran fine I let it sit till i could get the money for repairs and let the battery go dead. i tried to start it with a new battery. it starts every time but only runs for 1 or 2 seconds the shuts off i can go though this 20 or 30 times till the battery gets weak. is there some kind of security or computer setting i can reset, please help.

Sound like your ignitionsystem may be shot. Try clicking the ignition from on to off really fast 5-6 times. This will reset the fuel system controls and maybe allow you to start it and keep it running.
