Default Will a 98 s10 rear end fit a 94 s10?

I have a 94 s10 pickup 5 speed whose rear end went out. I have a friend who has a 98 s10 pickup 5 speed he wants to part out. Will his rear end fit my truck?

It should fit but it would be best to measure the length of the axle from backing plate to backing plate and also measure the distance between the yoke on the differential to the mounting plates for the springs.

In addition make sure the U-Joints are the same.

Thanks for the replies. You were correct. It does fit, however, the emergency brake cables do not. They are different.
