Default 2001 Blazer, transmission and Engine issue

Hello all,

This is my first post on the chevy forums! Hopefull you guys can help me out. I currently have a 2001 Chevy Blazer with a 4.3Liter V6 engine and a automatic transmission. The car has aroun 70,000 miles on it and has been in mostly Michigan and Washington.

Alright, on to my issues...

First issue: There seems to be something wrong with my reverse Gear. When i go shift into reverse... the gear seems to initally grab, but as soon as it moves maybe an inch back, the gear lets go and it feels like its in neutral. Occasionly it will grab again, but it is very clunky as it continues to move back. Nothing is smooth. Basically it struggles to reverse. Other forward gears work just fine.

Second issue is with my engine: It is stalling out on me. It tends to happen more at lower RPM's, specifically liking the stall out when idoling. However, it has also stalled out on me while driving on the freeway/highway/backroad. The engine, when it stalls, sputters slightly, but the RPM's just drop off. I have to pull over to the side of the road, without power steering so thats never fun lol, put it in park and attempt to start back up. Most casses it will start up on one crank. However, lately it has taken more about 5 minutes to start back up.

Also an additional note, my RPM's have been feeling sluggish as well. It does not feel like the engine has a lot of kick.
