I'm trying to replace the outside door handle on the driver side. But the door panel is in my way. I removed the screw behind the inside handle and popped out the window and door lock panel. My Chilton manual shows a pop out panel in the door pull area that has a couple of bolts behind it. My truck doesn't have this panel and bolts. Is there something else I need to remove or do I need a special tool to pop the clips? Any help would be appreciated. My truck is a 2001 S10 crew cab.

 

So long as you have all the screws out the panel has clips that you can get a 5 dollar screwdriver like tool from a parts store to pop the door panel off with.
