I have an 01 s-10, 4 cylinder, 2 wheel drive, manuel. Im not really sure what wrong, but i have been having a weird noise thats mytruck has been making. When i put the truck in first gear(with the clitch down) it will sometimes make this skreeching sound and my mph gauge starts to bounce around from like 0 to 15ish(while im stopped). What ever it is I can feel it in the gear shift and its kinda like a grinding fealing. when i start giving it gas and let the clutch go the noise stops while im moving. Im not sure if it is my clutch goin, or maybe my speedo cable needs to be greesed or loose, but the noise is very annoying. If anyone has any suggestion, please let me know.thanks fore your time!

 

could be a number of things... release bearing, pilot bearding, ect. is the clutch pedel stiff? is the sound like a chirp or consistant?
