2003 s-10 fuel pump
Anyone have any ideas where I can find a diagram of the fuel system and fuel pump on my 2003 chevy s-10 x cab? I would also love some tips/tricks for replacing my fuel pump. Truck is dead in yard, will turn over but will not start. Can't hear fuel pump when I turn on ignition. Help me please! Thank you! Email me at mark@thedahlgroup.com

Please do not expect anyone to e-mail you your fix. Let it be posted in the forum for others to read. It might not be smart either to post your e-mail adress in the forum. The internet is full of people who have nothing better to do that to provide you with harrassing e-mails.You might wanna replace the fuel pump relay and check all fusesBEFORE you do anything else. A diagram of the fuel lines will not help you. All you need to do is find the line off the tank andfollow itup theframe to the front. You have to drop the tank to change the fuel pump and let me tell ya... its aggravating. I'll get you more information on changing it when I get back from skinnin a deer...

The service manual talks about removing the pick-up box, but I would suggest you drop the tank rather than lifting the box. But its up to you. Here's a few instructions on how to put the sender back into the tank....you can reverse the procedure for taking it apart.
[ol]Install a new O-ring on the modular fuel sender to the tank.
Align the tab on front of the modular sender with slot on front of the retainer snap ring.
Slowly apply pressure to top of the spring loaded sender until the sender aligns flush with retainer on the tank.
Important:Ensure that the snap ring is fully seated within the tab slots.
Insert snap ring into designated slots (1).
Connect the fuel sender fuel and EVAP pipes.
Connect the fuel sender electrical connectors. [/ol]
