2004 Blazer Horn Switch change out
I have a 2004 Blazer that I can't honk the horn from the steering wheel. Key fob lock button twice and horn beeps. How difficult is it to dig down to the horn switch?? I have read about it in the Helms / GM service & repair manual. Doesn't look too bad, just time consumming maybe?? Need to disable airbag zone 3. really want to inspect collum connectors for black wire connections (horn trigger wire color supposidly). Anyone had this problem, or removing steering wheel air bag experience??? Thanks for any words of wisdom.....
OK, got up to the part where it's time to remove the airbag. Confirmed that it's either the switch or wire under the air bag ground connection. Ground the slip ring and the horn honks. Didn't really want to pry around the pin / retaining wire that holds the air bag (I could see it through a small space behind the steering wheel. I'm thinking of leaving this repair to the stealership....
