Default 4.3 missing

My daughter has a 2001 blazer, 4.3. she was at a friends house when she realized that she didn't have enuff gas to return home, her friend had a can of gas in his garage that he put in the blazer, she got about 2 blocks from his house when it started sputtering and she barelly made it back to his house, we drained tank and replaced filter, now it is missing at idle and giving 306 code, it runs fine at speed just has a miss at idle, when at speed the check engine light blinks. i replaced plugs, swaped plug wires to see if the miss moves to another cylinder. i am leaning twards a bad injector on #6 but had a mechanic tell me that bad gas won't make an injector go bad. thanks, Russell

Bad gas won't make an injector go bad, but dirty gas will.

He said the gas was sitting around his garage for about a year, the spout on the can was not plugged so it prob has gotten dirt in it,

Default New prob.

My daughter took the blazer 225 miles away to college, was there for 2 weeks and was coming home tonight for the weekend, she was 70 miles from home when it died as she was getting off on a ramp, i looked a few things over before putting it on the trailer, it is getting fuel to the engine as i pushed in on the valve on the fuel line, checked all fuses, going to work on it in the morning, will check for spark and fuel pressure. any suggestions? thanks, Russell
