89 s10 blazer 4.3 stutters under load. please help!
Hi everyone. So the truck is kinda stuttering under load. Mostly when in a higher gear just before it shifts to the lower gear to give more power. It kinda just stops making power for a split second. The more incline or load in the car, the worse it is... and the more gas pedal i'm giving it, the worse it is, until it switches gears. also, it's worse as it warms up.
Ive changed the dist. rotor, fuel pump, ignition coil all in the last week along with 1 ignition wire that was slightly suspect. I did the plugs, wires and dist cap 2 years ago. All new stuff i figured would help, didnt. I've also tried a couple different fuel additives.
The problem is getting worse over time. I'm giving up hope on this truck. Anyone with some insight?
