Looking for ideas for my 89 t10 pickup that stalls when hot.I can prime the fuel pump at the underhood prime connector and she starts right up.Just replaced fuel pump and no luck yet.

 

When you prime the pump and it starts, does it stay running?

 

Yes..it starts right up and stays running until the next time I pull up to an intersection for example. I installed a switch to the prime connector on the dash so when it acts up I can push and hold it to keep it running..

 

Is this a mechanical fuel pump, and carb?
