I have a 91 4.3 2 wheel drive s10 p/u it starts right up no matter how cold it is. But it seems like if it idles for a while then when I put it in gear to go it stalls out like spits and sputters then smells like rotten eggs then if you let it sit for a couple of hours it will start right back up.

 

rotton egg smell usually means the catylitic converter is clogged. that will cause the truck to stall out and not run. wait till it is dark outside and let the truck run. look under the truck at the converter and see if it is glowing red. this happened to me on my 96 grand am.
