Default 91 S10 V8 swap

Ok, I'm sure this topic has been covered before, but I hate search so here goes. I've got a 350 that I want to drop in my 91 S-10 4x4. It currently has a 4.3 V6 with the 700R automatic tranny. From what I've read so far, my 4.3 mounts will work with the 350, as well as the tranny. I have seen conflicting info on the oil pan, though. Is there an aftermarket upgrade for my 350 that I will need for it to fit?? Also, do I have to go with headers, or will the manifolds work? Thanks in advance!!!

as far as i know, your tranny will not work, the 700r4 is different from v8 to v6, and for the oil pan yes there is one for s10 v8 swaps, manifolds or shorty headers should work, when i did that upgrade in a 1994 s10 2wd i bought a kit from summit racing. and i custom made long tube headers, and a TH400 tranny.

i hope this some what helps

I think the question I'd be asking myself is do I want to shoehorn a 350 into a Pre OBD II 1991 S-10? Youll almost have to beef up the rear axle, but with an automatic maybe not. What year is the 350?
