Hi i have a 92 chevy s10 with a 4.3 v6 and a automatic 700r4 tranny. it slips while in Drive and overdrive but doesnt slip at all in 1 and 2. I had to move today and shifted it into overdrive and was able to drive like the tranny was acting normal it shifted absolutely fine. so i took it back to my house and checked the fluid level and found that it is overfull. Now my question is with the tranny being overfull would it make the tranny not work in overdrive and drive but work fine in 1 and 2?

 

it very well could, but you need to figure out if tranny is overfull from too much fluid added, or is it because the filter is clogged, not letting fluid to get into tranny. this too would cause slipping issues. i would change the filter/pan gasket and add new fluid to proper level, and see if that helps. filter kit and fluid should be less than $30 or $40 bucks.
