Default 93 Blazer Push button 4-wheel Drive issues

My 93 blazer has the push button 4 wheel drive and it won't always shift into 4 hi, and only sometimes into 4 lo. I have heard that there is a replacement/swapout manual shift for this. Does anyone know about it, or is there a simple fix for it?

Thanks,
Stuck in 2wd...

They make kits just for this type of swap. It is not very hard to do, and most kits come with instructions!

Try these sites for a kit:

www.4wheelsupply.com
www.lmctruck.com
www.truckstuffusa.com

there are a number of things that could cause that.
#1 possibility: you may have would be that the TCCM (pre-OBDII) has a code fault and needs to be cleared.
#2 possibility: bad Vacuum Actuator or other fault in the vacuum system.

I have no idea how to fix them, but that might be a likely diagnosis.
