Default 93 No running lights

I have a 93 s-10 4.3L . My running lights and dash lights will not turn on. The temp gauge and the radio no longer work as well but im no so worried about those. My headlights, brake lights, turn signals and backing lights all work just fine. So the brake lights will come on when I hit the brake pedal, but not when I hit the parking lights switch. Similarly the yellow lights in from will turn on when I hit the turn signal or hazard signal, but not when i hit the parking light switch. The fuszes for all lights and electronics appear ok. I stuck an ohm meter in the brake light socket there and it came up 0 when the parking switch was on and cycled around 12 when I hit the turn signal and brakes. It's making me think that somewhere a wire has corroded through, but, again I'm not sure about that and I dont even know were the wires run through the car. Any sugestions before I pull my dashboard apart (because I really dont want to)?
Thanks Dave

sounds like a bad headlight switch, test for 12v on the brown wire at the switch when put in the parking light position

Did you get 12V when the switch is in the parking light position?
All of your marker lights, dash lights, radio lights get a feed directly from the light switch. Unless you burnt out all the bulbs at once, you either have a broken wire, blown fuse, or a bad switch

I didn't have a volt meter, so I swapped my switch into a friend's car and it worked, so Im leaning towards a broken wire somewhere. Thanks for your suggestions.
