Alright, Im not sure where to start. My friend threw a 96 s10 4.3. He had sold it to a dude that ended up not paying him and it was broke down when we towed it away from the dudes house. I tore into the engine there was coolant in the intake and coolant in the oil. I got new seals and gaskets cleaned the engine up real good and put it back together. I forgot to mark the distributor but it seems like there is only two ways 180 degrees from each other to get it to seat all the way. I put it in onme way first and there was backfiring. I turned it 180 degrees and it cranks like it is about to start. It has fuel and it also has spark but I cannot get it to run. I was just thinking that maybe the contamination got down into the cat and it might be plugged. Any Ideas?

Never mind i kept messing with the distibutor and got it fired up
