I've got a 1996 s10 2.2 that needs an engine. However these engines are hard to find used (this truck is just an old work truck and i dont wanna put in 2 grand for an engine for a 500 dollar truck). I've asked around and I've heard that for the 1996, only an engine from another 96 will fit it and not any other year. Also I've heard that the 2.2 out of a cavalier of the same year will bolt right up. Any truth to this or are they trying to give me the run around? Thanks for any help guys.
