I have a 2006 silverado. When i start the truck it cools great to the point i have to turn it down. After anywhere from 5 minutes to 30 minutes the compresor shuts off. I can turn the truck off and immediately back on and the ac works fine again. I can even shut the truck off while rolling down the road in neutral and start back up and it works fine. Tok it to a dealer and had system flushed and filled and still have the same problem.

 

Possibly a bad low pressure switch. When it does this, jump out the wires on the wires to the low pressure switch and see if the compressor kicks back on.
