Alright, I have a 1990 chevy 4.3 engine and I want to make it carbureted without spending upwards of 500 dollars for the intake and carburetor. I found a deal for a 4.3 Mercruiser Intake Manifold and the Rochester Quadrajet carburetor. Will this bolt right up to the Chevy 4.3 V-6?? Thanks

depends on on if both motors are same generation, but it should. 1990 did not have the vortec heads, but if the mercruiser motor uses the vortec heads, then it won't work. if that's the case, you can get an aluminum intake easy enough. edelbrock makes one.

Alright thanks. Yep, lookin at the ones on ebay. I dont want to spend 500 for an intake and carb through edelbrock. There is a 2 barrel one on there and one with the quadrajet. I am looking for torque and gas mileage really. Which one would you recommend? Thanks

Also, whats the differance in the carburetor on the marine engine versus the regular chevy 4.3? I was just told that they were designed differantley. Would i be able to use the carb that the manifold would come with if i get the one off of ebay? thanks.
